21 Data Protection

24 Damaged goods or poor services or incorrect deliveries

a)The goods must be stored in appropriate conditions; if you do not store them in appropriate conditions we cannot be held responsible for faults or problems that arise as a result;
b)Any claim by you in respect of any shortages and/or defects in the goods or services must be notified to us by you within fourteen (14) days of the delivery date, stating the nature of the shortage/defect and quoting the invoice no.; failure to so notify us will deem, you to have accepted the goods or services. In some cases SCS Bank may require you to return the defective goods to SCS Bank at its cost. Where you make a valid claim in respect of any shortages or defects or poor service provided and we are liable for the claim, we can at our option make up the shortages or replace the goods or services free of charge, or refund the price of the goods or charges of the services in question to you. In addition for defective goods or poor services we will refund you reasonable costs incurred for postage or shipping minus handling and packaging of the goods, but we shall have no further liability to you. If you do not notify SCS Bank accordingly, SCS Bank shall have no liability for any defects or poor service and you shall be bound to pay for the goods or services provided.
25 Force Majeure
25.1 SCS Bank shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods or services you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered or providing services that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control.
26 Invalidity of Terms and Conditions

30 Gift Certificates
30.1 To buy a gift certificate, please visit the gift certificates page. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, non-transferable, valid for one year from the date of issue and are only redeemable on SCS Bank website.
30.2 Gift certificates can only be used at SCS Bank website and not at SCS Bank's high street business. These are not part of SCS Bank high street business voucher scheme, which is run separately.
30.3 You cannot use a gift certificate to purchase another gift certificate.
30.4 The gift certificate has a cash redemption value of 0.001p and is not transferable or assignable.
30.5 Gift certificates cannot be cancelled by the purchaser of the gift certificate once they have been redeemed in part or in full.
30.6 Any unused balance will be placed in the recipient's account with SCS Bank and is not transferable. Your balance can be viewed at any time in the 'My Account' section of the SCS Bank website.
30.7 If the order exceeds the amount of the gift certificate, the balance must be paid by credit or debit card.
30.8 To avoid disappointment, please make sure you redeem your gift certificate before the expiry date that appears on the certificate. Gift certificates and unused portions of gift certificates expire one year from the date of issue, where permissible under applicable law. Once the certificate has expired we are unable to extend the expiry date under any circumstances.
